I have registered for the competition and received email of my login ID and password. When I tried to login, there is always error, please assist.

Must the competition project be my final year project?
It is not mandatory, but you are encouraged to use the competition project as your final year project. Please consult your project supervisor for academic compliance of the project as the final year project.

Yes, participants must choose to enter one of the three competition tracks, and use the designated platform.

Can I submit more than one entries or participate in more than one competition tracks?
No, each participant can only submit one entry to the competition.

What I need to do after submitting the online registration?
You will receive an email notification acknowledging your registration and providing you a login ID and password. You will need to login to the given login webpage and submit three sections of the project paper:
1. Abstract
2. Project Introduction
3. Design Methodology
I have registered for the competition and received email of my login ID and password. When I tried to login, there is always error, please assist.
Please try using Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to login the website.
If I join this competition, who will own the IP of the project?
The design competition organizer don't claim ownership of the IP. The IP will either belong to your university or your team depending on your university's IP policy. However, the participants will have to sign a Participant Release Form that grants the rights to the organizer to publish project paper submitted.
I'm participating in the Altera track, are we provided with the Altera developement board?
You are not provided the Altera DE1/DE2 board automatically. There are a few possible ways you can get access to the board:
  1. Use board available in your university/college lab.
  2. Loan from your university/college.
  3. Ask your advisor to request a board donation through Altera University Program at the following link:

  4. If none of the above are available, you may request to loan a board from Altera through DreamCatcher. Write in to us at innovate@dreamcatcher.asia to make the request.
