Participant Release

I/We ("Participant"), understand that DreamCatcher, IEM, IET, Intel, MathWorks, TechSource ("Co-organizers") are co-organizing the Innovate Malaysia Design Competition 2023 ("Competition") to create an environment of learning through innovation and positive competition.

Participant understands that the Co-organizers is under no obligation to exercise any or all of the rights, licenses, and privileges herein granted. Participant hereby releases and discharges the Co-organizers and the Competition sponsors from any and all liability arising out of participation in the Competition.

The permissions and releases granted by Participant herein shall extend and apply to the Co-organizers and their assigns, contractors, sublicensed distributors, successors, and agents.

1. Participant hereby agrees to grant, and does hereby grant, a world-wide, non-exclusive, perpetual, non-revocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and fully assignable right to distribute, reproduce, prepare derivative works, publicly perform, publicly display, use and otherwise exploit the Project Paper, videos, and all supporting materials submitted by Participant for the Competition ("Works") in any manner.
2. Nothing contained in this Form shall be construed as conferring by implication, estoppel, or any other legal theory, a license or right to any patent, trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property right of Participant, except those expressly provided herein. Participant hereby commits itself not to assert against the Co-organizers and their assigns, contractors, sublicensed distributors, successors, and agents any patent, interface copyright, or other intellectual property right that would necessarily be infringed by reproducing, distributing, publicly performing, or publicly displaying the Works, or creating derivative works based upon the Works.
3. Participant represents and warrants that Participant and the other Authors named above are the sole copyright owner of the Works. Participant further represents and warrants that the Works do not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties.
4. Participant agrees to grant and does hereby grant the Co-organizers the right to use Participant's image, name, and any biographical material submitted by Participant in connection with the Competition, whether used in excerpts or in full, for any associated advertising or exhibition.
5. Participant agrees to grant and does hereby grant permission for the Co-organizers to record and/or transcribe any of Participant's presentations or demonstrations relating to the Works for the purposes of participating in the Competition, and to include this material, in any and all forms, in the Competition and any related publications. Accordingly, Participant grants to the Co-organizers the right to use Participant's image, voice, pronouncements, and likeness, whether used in excerpts or in full, for any associated advertising or exhibition.
