Application Engineer (CAD/CAM)

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to do troubleshooting and problem-solving in CAD/CAM applications.
  • Conduct standard & customized product presentation & able to address potential customer CBIs and show how the solution can benefit the customer.
  • Conduct product benchmark to prove our solution capabilities.
  • Build strong relations with end users, technical/operation managers.
  • Must be able to conduct after-sales CAD/CAM training to customers.
  • Provide technical contents & ideas for marketing materials.
  • To interface with engineering and customer to resolve manufacturing problems.
  • Provide email, phone, remote access, on-site technical support within required response time.
  • Keep updated on general software & hardware technology to aid efficiency in technical support process.
  • Systematic document and develop technical support knowledge base and materials.
  • Other adhoc assignment that assign by the Company.

Design & Development Engineering

Job Descriptions

The embedded development team is at the heart of the product development of Sony Televisions. The team develops software which provides low level control of the TV platform which runs on Linux. The embedded software team is also responsible for developing software to commit to deliver a software solution to maximize TV production efficiency. In addition, the team works closely with the Picture and Sound processing algorithms developers from our internal research labs to implement them in software running on hardware blocks available on the SoC.

The development is managed using Agile project management. This is a developer role and the successful candidate will be expected to perform the following:

  1. Develop embedded software in C/C++ on a Linux system.
  2.  Assign to a specific function or area where you will be required to learn and understand that module to become a specialist and take ownership of this module.
  3. Carry out requirement analysis and develop designs before implementation.
  4. Work closely with Hardware Designers & Production Engineers to develop hardware control specification.
  5. Develop C/C++ software on Linux OS and conduct unit testing on individual modules.

Job Requirements

  1. Good degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering / Electronic Engineering or related field.
  2. Experience in Linux Kernel development will be an added advantage.
  3. Some hardware experience will be of an advantage.
  4. Able to travel.

Job Descriptions

  1. To develop Android APKs under Android TV environment.
  2. To port existing APKs from headquarters models to local models.
  3. To provide justifications during for code quality review, cyber security and open source license assessments.
  4. Execute testing strategy including manual and automated testing.
  5. Manage JIRA bugs assigned effectively.

Job Requirements

  1. Degree in Computer Science/Multimedia Technology/Engineering or related field.
  2. Solid understanding of the Android application life cycle will be an added advantage.
  3. Experience with Android app development and Android SDK will be an added advantage.
  4. Experience with third-party libraries and JSON APIs.
  5. Good command of English.

Job Descriptions

  1. Involve in the product development life cycle from concept to product introduction.
  2. Design, measure, diagnose, and solve hardware problems during design phase.
  3. Responsible for hardware and system integration design of LCD TV.
  4. Create schematic drawings, bill of material and documentation.
  5. Perform performance and reliability testing on engineering prototypes.
  6. Will work with Engineers in others disciplines to produce the final products.

Job Requirements

  1. Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.
  2. Practical knowledge and experience in basic analog and digital circuits or switch mode power supply circuit design.
  3. Knowledge and experience in consumer electronics (TV or PC monitors or Digital products) new product design like power/audio/video/tuner/digital interface/RF system will be added advantages.
  4. Knowledge in networking will be an added advantage.
