This is the Online Grand Finale event of the Innovate Malaysia Design Competition open to all undergraduate students and academia in the relevant fields including engineering and computer science. The event will feature:
This year’s competition received 194 teams from 22 universities nationwide signed up to participate in the competition in various technology domains and application areas including IC Design, Embedded System Design, IR 4.0 Applications, Data Analytics & AI Applications, and Cloud, Web & Mobile Apps Design. 25 teams were shortlisted as finalist teams to compete during the event for multiple prizes offered by the industry as well as engineering professional bodies.
Innovate Malaysia is a multi-disciplinary engineering design competition for undergraduates in Malaysia. It is co-organized by technology leaders in the industry, supported by government agencies and engineering professional bodies.
The competition serves to promote innovative culture in engineering design, tackle real-world problems with practical engineering solutions, and churn out brightest talents for product development, further research, and commercialization.
Participants are provided start-of-the-art industry platforms to develop their projects. They are trained on industry-recognized technical skills, domain knowledge, and functional skills through DreamCatcher MicroDegree program (micro-credential certification) and mentored by industry experts.
Innovate Malaysia has become the largest engineering design competition in Malaysia over the years. It has become a platform to promote the adoption of industry platforms in the universities, to align engineering solutions to real-world problems, and to groom and acquire engineering talents. In short, this programme synergises an ecosystem for industry-academia collaboration to produce talents and innovative solutions with state-of-the-art technologies.
